As a recognised experienced Software Developer and Project Manager, Rich is 17 years into his career in software development. He’s spent that time working with companies and organisations in the UK and internationally, to solve complex technical problems in a range of industries from accounting and telecoms to radio stations and civil infrastructure.
Lasting for the next 3 years, Rich has just started a new elected term representing the Federation of Small Businesses' members and all small businesses located in the West Midlands, and is the youngest Regional Chair of the FSB. This role gives Rich a unique insight into businesses and local government across the West Midlands and in the wider UK and influence change in local, regional and national government. It has also allowed him to amass a wide network of contacts, who can be called upon to solve challenges together for the benefit of his clients, and the wider business community.
Rich is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Fellow of the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs, and Professional Member of BCS, the Chartered Institute of IT, a member of the Institute of Directors 99, WM Regional Development Fund ICT Excellence Club, a charity trustee, and an advisor to EU ERDF Funded technology projects in the UK.
His client base includes names such as British Waterways, Consumer Financial Education Body, Done+Dusted (TV & Events, including London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony), Global Radio (Heart & Capital), Jersey Telecom, National Union of Students, Redrow Homes, Sealine (Luxury boats, motor boats and yachts), Stoke-on-Trent City Council, as well as Staffordshire University, University of Greenwich, University of Warwick, De Montfort University, University of the Creative Arts, and many more.
